Two boards never mix

Cards lives at / and /cards with Sleeve / Swap / Store. GO lives at /go with Train / Trade / Transfer. Catalogs do not merge. Votes post to separate APIs. Rankings pages are separate. This is not a UI preference or a temporary scaffold. Cross-game Elo would be meaningless cosplay of dollars Collectrio refuses to invent — /guides/why-not-a-price-list.

Profile routes stay namespaced: /cards/[slug] versus /go/[slug]. Treat a wrong-namespace link as a wrong-product link.

Different scarcity, different verbs

Cardboard scarcity is print runs, condition, grading culture, and binder space. GO scarcity is spawns, IVs, stardust, special-trade caps, XL candy, and storage caps. Verbs match those worlds — /guides/sleeve-swap-store and /guides/train-trade-transfer.

Cleanup language differs too: Store versus Transfer — both are honest box cleanup, neither is an insult — /guides/box-cleanup-philosophy. Lenses differ: Binder / Playable / Value versus Dex / Raids / Trade bait — /guides/how-lenses-work.

Taxes differ: cardboard has shipping and condition risk; GO has registration dust and specials — /guides/go-special-trade-tax. One Elo cannot price both.

What people try anyway

Partners sometimes propose “my SIR equals your shiny legendary.” That can be personal barter between friends. It is not a Collectrio fairness proof. Do not paste /cards/calculator next to /go/calculator as one exhibit. Say barter if you barter.

Trend folklore that cross-tracks boards — “when this SIR pumps, that shiny follows” — is noise. /guides/trend-without-noise. Discord screenshots do not merge catalogs.

Importing Sleeve language into GO chats or Train language into Cards chats confuses new players. Keep verb sets in their lanes.

Practical rules for fair claims

Build packages on one site surface only. Rank trios on one mode only. When chatting, name the board in the first sentence. Starters stay split on purpose: /guides/starter-cards-binder versus /guides/starter-go-dex.

Chase ladders are Cards-only essays — /guides/cards-chase-ladder. Special trade tax and first GO trades are GO-only — /guides/go-special-trade-tax, /guides/first-go-trade.

Shared product values that still apply

Both refuse official art. Both treat low verbs as cleanup. Both ask you to pick a lens before you pretend fairness. Those shared values are why Collectrio is one site with two products — not one blended leaderboard.

Why collectors benefit

Separation keeps signal clean. Binder chase does not get diluted by raid meta. Trade bait shinies do not get drowned by SIR fashion. Your brain can still cross-hobby; the database should not.

Checklist before you claim fairness

If a partner insists on cross-game “Collectrio value,” decline the framing. Offer barter terms or single-board terms — not a fake merged Elo.

Operator and community habits that keep boards clean

Moderation-minded collectors can help without tools: when someone pastes a Cards calculator beside a GO screenshot as “equal,” reply with the path /guides/two-boards-never-mix and ask which single board owns the claim. Habit beats flame. The product already separates catalogs; chat culture has to follow.

Content creators covering Collectrio should label segments Cards versus GO explicitly, including verb sets on screen. Mixing Sleeve language into a GO segment teaches the wrong mental model to newcomers who only skim. Point viewers to /guides/starter-cards-binder or /guides/starter-go-dex instead of a blended “collection value” pitch.

If you personally trade across hobbies, keep two notes files: one for cardboard packages referencing /cards/calculator, one for GO referencing /go/calculator. Never sum the Elo columns. Barter ratios you invent are your own; they are not Collectrio methodology — /methodology stays per product.
