How a trio becomes a number
Collectrio is not a price list. People rank three names. Those comparisons move a rating. This page is how that works.
Two products, two boards
Cards and GO never share a catalog or a ranking. A Cards trio is Sleeve, Swap, or Store. A GO trio is Train, Trade, or Transfer. Umbreon VMAX Alt cannot beat Shiny Rayquaza here, because they never appear in the same comparison.

What a ranking actually is
You see three names from one product and one format lens. You assign each name a different verb. That submission is one ranking:
- Keep (Sleeve on Cards, Train on GO) beats the other two names in that trio.
- Trade (Swap / Trade) beats Cut and loses to Keep.
- Cut (Store / Transfer) loses both.
Collectrio stores the three IDs, the product, the format lens, and a timestamp. It does not store a login. One trio is three pairwise results: Keep vs Swap, Keep vs Store, and Swap vs Store (or the GO verbs).
Elo, not a scrape
Those pairs update an Elo rating. Expected score uses the usual 400-point logistic. K is 58, so a surprising result moves the board more than a blowout everyone already believed. A new name starts from a compressed seed — roughly 1100 plus 82% of the gap above 1000 — plus small tag boosts for that lens. Seeds only start the order. Submitted trios are what Collectrio is measuring.
The public number is clamped to 1000–9999 so it reads like other collection-value boards. It is still not dollars, TCGPlayer, or a Niantic quote.
Format lenses change who is on the board
Cards lenses are Binder, Playable, and Value. GO lenses are Dex, Raids, and Trade bait. A lens is not a cosmetic Elo bump. It is a different comparable set. Binder is chase cardboard. Playable is the list. Value is what actually swaps. Dex is living-dex and form collecting. Raids is raid and PvP pieces. Trade bait is what can actually move. If a lens would have fewer than six names, Collectrio falls back to the full catalog for that product so a trio is still possible.
A name can be in the catalog and still show Off board on a lens it does not belong to. That is intentional. Bulk energy is not a Binder comparison.
Tiers
After ratings are sorted, Collectrio walks the list and starts a new tier when the gap to the next name is at least 320. The labels are Elite, High, Core, Depth, and Fringe. Tiers are cliffs in the current board, not a second scoring system.
Trend is the last seven days
The Trend column is this board’s public number minus the same number computed from rankings older than seven days. It is not a catalog guess and not a scraped price move. If nobody ranked that name this week, trend is 0.
The calculator uses the same numbers
Give and get sides add the current board values, with quantity steppers and a condition or luck modifier. A package of several smaller names gets a modest bump so a pile is not purely the sum of its parts. The calculator does not invent a second market. It packages the same trio-driven ratings. Names in the picker and on each side link to that name’s Collectrio page.
What this is not
Collectrio does not scrape a marketplace. It does not use official card scans, GO sprites, or user-uploaded photos. Marks on the site are abstract proxies: a letter, a number or dex, a rarity chip. Rankings are community comparisons with a published recipe. They will be wrong for your binder, your region, and your night of the week. That is the point of ranking a trio yourself.
