Collectrio does not invent live ranking counts to look busy. The board grows with contributions. Seeds start order; trios are the measurement — /methodology.

Tiers are cliffs, not a second game

After ratings sort, Collectrio walks the list and starts a new tier when the gap to the next name is large enough — the methodology threshold is the cliff rule. Labels include Elite, High, Core, Depth, and Fringe. Product legend copy also frames Elite as top crowd ranks and Fringe as lower conviction.

Tiers are cliffs in the current board, not a parallel scoring system. Use them when building packages: climbing from Fringe depth to meet an Elite chase usually needs many lines or better lines. /guides/building-a-trade-package and /guides/calculator-uneven-packages.

Tier membership changes when Elo moves. A name can sit Elite on Binder and Core on Value in the same hour — that is a lens conflict, not a bug. /guides/lens-conflicts.

Off board

Off board means the name is not on the current served board for that lens. It can still have a profile page and catalog identity; it is simply not in the visible ranked table for this question. Bulk energy on Binder, pure trophy shinies on Raids, and other mismatches show up here on purpose.

If your deal hangs on an Off board name, switch lens or accept that you are trading on personal intuition, not crowd Elo for this comparable set. Lens tour: /guides/how-lenses-work.

The value column is not money

The value column is a relative score from crowd ranks — the same family of number the calculators sum — clamped in the public band described on /methodology. It is not TCGPlayer, not eBay, not a Niantic quote. Editorial stance: /guides/why-not-a-price-list.

Trend is seven days of trios

Trend is this board’s public number minus the same number from rankings older than seven days. If nobody ranked that name this week, trend is 0. It is not a scraped price candle and not Discord volume.

• Tier = gap cliffs on this lens’s sorted Elo.
• Trend = weekly Elo delta from new trios (or zero).
• Value = relative crowd score — not fiat currency.

How to skim a board in five minutes

Pick the lens that matches your decision sentence. Note the Elite cluster — those are the names the crowd keeps winning comparisons with. Scan High/Core for package depth. Glance Fringe only if you need filler and plan to run the calculator. Ignore Off board rows for this lens.

Using the board before you trade

Skim Elite/High for offers you can field. Avoid Fringe-only piles against Elite chase without /cards/calculator or /go/calculator. For a first careful GO trade, follow /guides/first-go-trade end to end.

What the board is not

Not live volume theater. Not an official art gallery — abstract proxies only. Not a cross-game leaderboard. Not a prediction market for sealed product. Not a substitute for checking physical condition or IVs with your own eyes and game UI.

Sit beside a new collector — or screen-share — and narrate one lens only. Point at Elite cliffs, then High/Core depth, then Fringe, then an Off board example. Do not introduce trend until they can explain value-without-dollars in one sentence. Send them /guides/why-not-a-price-list the same day.
