Collectrio Cards is a crowdsourced comparison board for Pokémon TCG printings. You rank three names with Sleeve, Swap, and Store — one each — on a format lens. Binder lens is the collector comparable set: chase, vintage, binder copies. Playable is decks. Value is relative Swap strength — still not dollars. Marks on the site are abstract proxies — letter, set, number — never official art. Identify carefully before you Sleeve the wrong printing.

Pick three that actually compete

Good first trios pit peers: two modern chase pieces and one mid Illustration Rare; vintage vs modern chase you might actually choose between; three SIRs from adjacent sets. Bad first trios pit a Base icon against random energy — the Store is automatic and teaches little about your ladder.

Assign Sleeve to the name you would protect longest, Swap to the fair move, Store to the slot you would free. Verb meanings: /guides/sleeve-swap-store. Store is cleanup, not an insult — /guides/box-cleanup-philosophy.

If two names feel tied for Sleeve, pick the one you would refuse to mail first. Gut refusal is binder signal.

• Sleeve — binder keep / grade candidate relative to these two.
• Swap — would move for similar Binder strength.
• Store — lower priority; frees space vs these peers.

Unlock and read the board

After submit, open /cards/rankings on Binder. Learn Elite, High, Core, Depth, Fringe cliffs and Off board. Trend is seven-day Elo delta — not a marketplace candle. Column literacy: /guides/reading-the-board. Calm trend habits: /guides/trend-without-noise.

If a name you love is Off board on Binder, it may not belong in binder comparisons — or the lens fallback rules apply as in /methodology. Do not panic; switch lens or pick peers.

First package sanity check

When you have a real Swap brewing, switch to Value if fairness matters, load /cards/calculator, set NM / LP / MP honestly, and share the link. If Binder conviction says no but Value says fair, you are allowed to refuse. Numbers do not override binder rules. Say “Binder premium” out loud if you proceed anyway.

A thirty-minute binder session

Minutes 0–5: confirm Binder is the lens and write one decision sentence (“Which of these chase pieces stays in the binder?”). Minutes 5–10: build and submit one trio. Minutes 10–20: skim Elite/High on /cards/rankings, note two conflicts with your gut, flip Value for those names. Minutes 20–30: draft one calculator package you might actually offer this month — or stop without packaging if nothing is live.

Stopping without a deal is success. The starter goal is literacy, not throughput. Cleanup any Store pile mentally without insult language.

Binder rules you bring from outside Collectrio

Collectrio will not know your personal rules: no breaking master sets, no mailing vintage, no swapping graded slabs, no kids-binder exceptions. Write those rules above your decision sentence before you unlock. When Value says fair and your rules say no, the board is not wrong — it is answering a different question.

Grade intent belongs on Binder. If you are one week from submitting a PSA or CGC order, Sleeve that printing in Binder trios against other grade candidates, not against random Swap fodder. After grades return, re-rank — slabs change how you feel about Swap even when Elo has not moved yet.

Master set completionists should beware Store votes on “ugly” commons that still fill pages. On Binder, those commons may be Sleeve against true bulk duplicates.
